Shmesa and I spent the long weekend freezing and dancing our asses off. We made the trek to Memphis to listen to the extensive list of artists and for the promise of amazing barbecue. We really loved the music but we found that most of the women had little to no interest in dancing. We quickly earned our reputation as the girls who danced. We quickly became used to being stopped on our way in between shows by men who noticed. We were quite surprised by the sheer number of men who asked us to try their moonshine...to which we would reply, "No, thank you" or "Maybe another time," for fear that it might be a 135 proof with a side of memory loss. This might have been why we remained sober for the entire weekend. The park was very cold, rainy and muddy but we didn't mind, as long as we were listening to the likes of The Black Keys and ZZ Top. We had such a good time. We made a friend Tommy and ate some bad ass seafood nachos. I look forward to our next road trip of music and dancing...
